BIOL 2610: Principles of Biology: Biodiversity, Ecology, and Evolution
This course is an introduction to the dynamic processes of living things. Major topics include the mechanisms of evolution, biological diversity, population genetics, and ecology. BIOL 303: General Ecology Study of the interactions that determine the distribution and abundance of organisms, including physical and biotic factors, population dynamics, intraspecific and interspecific relationships, community structure, ecosystems and landscapes. BIOL 404/504: Fisheries Management and Conservation Theory, methods and philosophy of fisheries management emphasizing sport and commercial fisheries, aquaculture and endangered species. BIOL 430/530: Limnology Study of freshwater habitats and the ecology, distribution and identification of freshwater organisms. BIOL 436/536: Ichthyology Biology and classification of fishes. The lab focuses on the identification of freshwater fishes of the Southwest USA. BIOL 579: Independent Research |
